So here we are in 2009, and in just two days' time, college life will begin anew. As usual, I'm reluctant to part with the holidays. Not really dreading school, just sad that this wondrous break is coming to a somewhat abrupt end. After tomorrow, there will be no more 10km run every night. No more waking up in the absence of the alarm clock motivating my getting out of bed. No more wake-up news digest first thing after the morning ablutions. No more weekday afternoon movies. No more bedtime reading. No more wasting time without feeling guilty. And the list goes on.

I'm being very teenage kid here, totally unbecoming of a cutthroat business school undergrad, but some things never change even when priorities do as we grow. Sure, there may be things to look forward to in school, but when it comes to parting with what has been a very enjoyable holiday, I still get those horrid Sunday evening feeling, become all grouchy and complain that the holiday is way too short. I guess at the end of the day, no matter how motivated I can be most of the time, it boils down to the fact that fundamentally, I'm a person first, a student second. So there.

About Me

byponders is no longer in his early twenties, but still spends too much time pondering the imponderables and enjoys an occasional dose of arty goodness. He looks forward to having his own library, Bloomberg machine and walk-in Heineken fridge one day.
