I took my yearly Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) today and it felt surprisingly good. Although I was nursing a terrible running nose in the morning, when the occasion called for it, my body did rise to it. And since there's loot to be won, I was doubly motivated to do it once, do it good.

In the end, it was still consolation prize ($100) for me. Standing Broad Jump proved to be my nemesis and it think it has to do with age. But I really enjoyed the run. I've never run in an indoor route before so this one was quite an interesting experience for me. Add to that the fact that I have been doing more than 10km as my custom for the past couple of months and you get a 2.4km run that has never felt any easier. So it makes me feel good and since I've now cleared this IPPT window, I am once again free of NS commitments and that makes me happy on another count.

As an aside, anybody interested in this year's Sundown Marathon?
