I don't usually opine when my colleagues engage in casual chats over work, because one, I find it hard to make small talk and two, the topics don't always interest me. So most of the time I just listen to their conversations and laugh quietly to myself when I hear something funny. But today, I found myself protesting vehemently against a remark made by a colleague related to 卢广仲. Except, of course, nobody actually knew who 卢广仲 is.

“这首歌谁唱的(referring to the song playing on the radio),这样难听!"

Okay to be fair, the song was 《早安,晨之美》, not the easiest song for starters, therefore her reaction was perfectly understandable. But its sad when everyone concurred with her and laughed derisively when the chorus went "对呀对呀对呀对呀" repetitively. So with me against them all, I somehow managed to find the moral courage to speak up in defense of the song and shamelessly promote 卢广仲 to them. In the end, I don't think I managed to convert anyone, and the next time they hear the song they probably will still laugh. But at the very least, they now know who this singer is, that he actually sings quite well and who knows, they might give the song a second chance?

By the way, as I was telling my colleagues, his album is priced quite steeply here because there isn't a local distributor yet and it's all imported directly from Taiwan. So if you want a cheaper copy, this is your last chance! Place your order with me before I fly there on Thursday! =)
