I think I have a penchant for sad birthdays. Two years ago to the day, I crossed over to my twenties in Taiwan and I remember feeling good about how nobody around me knew it was my birthday. Today, I ushered in my 22nd year at a sad MacD doing Math as usual. Although I am still trying to come to terms with the shocking pair of digits that are now officially my age, I like the idea of spending birthdays just like any other day, except being a little more self-involved than I usually am. Then again, maybe there should be a greater purpose.

It's been an unhappy year so far and I really hope twenty two will be a sign of better things to come.

About Me

byponders is no longer in his early twenties, but still spends too much time pondering the imponderables and enjoys an occasional dose of arty goodness. He looks forward to having his own library, Bloomberg machine and walk-in Heineken fridge one day.
