As ditzy as it sounds, I enjoyed 功夫灌篮 very much. All along I expected it to be some silly, crappy 周星驰-ish comedy without a soul. As it turned out, it was indeed silly, crappy and 周星驰-ish but with a fair bit of soul and meaning. And I'm increasingly impressed by Jay Chou's versatility. Never mind that there are many way-more-superior films out there to choose from during the festive season; it's incredibly entertaining and that's all I ask for because I desperately needed to unwind after several days of tearing my hair over the academic nemesis that is Organizational Behavior.

Welcome to the Year of the Rat, everyone!

About Me

byponders is no longer in his early twenties, but still spends too much time pondering the imponderables and enjoys an occasional dose of arty goodness. He looks forward to having his own library, Bloomberg machine and walk-in Heineken fridge one day.
