I spent the weekend at home, not by design, but because nobody asked me out. Ok to be fair, I did go out on three counts - twice for tuitions and once to get food, so I know how bloody hot the air out there is. Anyway, when I was at home, I spent most of my time doing what I did for spring-cleaning a few months back – cleaning the dusty corners, tidying up the shelves, gathering rubbish and then lugging the gargantuan masses of garbage bags down to the neighbourhood rubbish dump. Now 90% of my secondary school and JC stuff are on their way to the incinerator plant and the remaining are kept either for tuition purposes or have some sort of sentimental value. I wouldn’t mind keeping all of them actually, but I need the space for the imminent arrival of university stuff and my room isn’t one of those palatial ones so these old things just have to go. Then again, it scares me how so much that I have studied before are now completely irrelevant and I can just throw them away without batting an eyelid. So much for a broad-based education.

About Me

byponders is no longer in his early twenties, but still spends too much time pondering the imponderables and enjoys an occasional dose of arty goodness. He looks forward to having his own library, Bloomberg machine and walk-in Heineken fridge one day.
