A stern-looking tester, a sick testee and a rainy day - all these were true blue recipe for me to fail my first attempt at TP practical, but....
I PASSED!

(I have no car to display this, so I'm doing it here instead.) I am a qualified driver on one-year probation with effect from today!
However, the fact that I accumulated 18 demerit points in total - the 'just-pass' mark that is - led to some conspiracy theories. XW believes that I applied her seducing tactics but I am admittedly nowhere as seductive as her, and although the flu did make my voice a tad sexier, unlike her no one ever commented my voice was sexy over the intercoms at the Victoria Theatre! BK thinks the tester took pity that I was sick, but being trapped inside a car with a flu-carrier (plus potential unsafe driver/road hazard no less) is every tester's nightmare I should think. So I came up with my own theory : my attire of tucked-in buttoned shirt and black long pants and boyish haircut (I specially cut my hair for today) saved me. At least I did not look like I was going to race in Batam straight after getting the license. Who races with auto cars anyway? In case you are curious, here's the breakdown: zero point in the circuit, 18 points on the public road, of which 12 were due to a damn reckless lane-changing error and the other 6 to some minor mistakes I really cannot recall committing. So I passed and can now merrily wait for the day I acquire a car of my own. =)
