I wish I could just pack up and fly away now.

A couple of weeks ago I was in Bugis with a friend and I remarked that there is this vague rancid burning smell in the air, akin to that of the Sumatra haze years ago. He casually dismissed it as my nose playing tricks on me. Two weeks later, we know it wasn't. And only today did the enormity hit in - the haze problem we once thought is gone for good is back full-scale. Did the PSI exceed 100 today? I'm quite sure it did but there isn't any news report yet. This certainly spells doom for sinus folks like me. And just when I have FINALLY mustered the determination to end my running drought, my plans have to be foiled by the pollution.

I wonder what would have happened if the haze struck just 2 weeks earlier when the delegates were still around. Talk about perfect timing.
