After a night of overindulgence at Sakura Buffet and sleeping on an incredibly full stomach, I woke up this morning doubly keen on exercising off my visibly growing tummy. But the weather decided I should instead spend the time on quality sleep before it becomes impossible once a new week begins. And so I did, and that became the entirety of my Sunday morning. How lovely.

Anyway, X-Men III was fairly enjoyable, though slightly overrated I feel (all the publicity on 933 these days made it seem totally fantastic). The final Armageddon-like showdown towards the end - the thing everyone was waiting and waiting for throughout the first three-quarters of the movie - fell short of excellent. It's silly how Magneto and gang just stood there and watch the battle passively most of the time and then lost so easily despite having the all-powerful Jean Grey on their side. For a moment I thought I was watching a kid's show (or is it meant to be in the first place?). But I guess for all its no-need-to-use-brain kind of entertainment value it was definitely worth watching. And for those who are planning to watch it one of these days, there's a short ending scene after the credits so don't rush to leave the cinema when the lights come on! Those who did don't know what they are missing. Heh.
